We just get so excited to post our before and after pictures of the month! We can talk about treatments until we’re blue in the face but nothing really drives the point home like a before and after pic. This month we’re featuring our beautiful patient’s totally amazing Sculptra results.

As a little refresher, Sculptra is a unique dermal filler that works a little differently from traditional filler treatments. Its primary ingredient is poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) and instead of filling areas of the face where you may be experiencing volume loss, it actually acts as a stimulatory filler.

In other words, it stimulates your body into producing collagen and elastin and creating a new, healthy support structure underneath the surface of the skin. It’s a filler that is regenerative, rather than one that adds volume.

Because of this, it’s not a treatment where you’ll see results immediately, or even 2 weeks later (yup, patience is the operative word here). You may see results 4-6 weeks following your initial treatment, depending on how quickly your body has built up collagen, but your true results will become apparent only after you’ve completed your treatment series. We typically recommend anywhere from 2-3 treatments spaced about 8 weeks apart.

That being said, Sculptra results are well worth waiting for and our lovely patient’s before and after pictures could not prove this more.

Here she is pictured before and 8 weeks after her 2nd treatment of Sculptra, and it’s hard to believe, because her results are so impressive, but her results will only continue to improve.

Our patient’s main concerns were with her nasolabial folds and jowls. Dr. Chbat recommended starting her treatment plan with Sculptra as it will provide a beautiful overall rejuvenation to the skin. And it did just that.

In terms of achieving her goals, this patient will benefit from additional neurotoxin and filler treatments, but the idea was to first restore some of the collagen and elastin in the skin and regenerate those support structures that Sculptra is so successful at achieving.

Sculptra is great for anyone looking for overall skin rejuvenation and regeneration but also for anyone looking to treat moderate to deep facial folds and skin depressions as well as to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

On average most patients require one vial for every decade of life (so if you’re 40 then 4 vials) spaced out over 2-3 treatments. Generally most people require at least two vials per treatment.

Each vial of Sculptra is $1,000. So each visit will cost between $1,000 and $2,000 and you may need anywhere between 1 and 3 visits. Sculptra results last around 2 years after your final treatment session. Everyone is different, so when you come in for your complimentary consultation, we’ll provide you with a personalized treatment plan that is specific to your skin goals.
