When we see a dramatic shift in the aging process take hold we tend to want to make equally dramatic improvements. Some people might opt for the traditional facelift when they start to see their face lacking in contours, a gauntness and sagging of the features, the appearance of numerous wrinkles, loss of elasticity and a general loss of tone. What’s great about the medical aesthetics field now is that we have incredible non-surgical alternatives to invasive surgery. That’s where the non-surgical facelift also known as the liquid facelift comes in.

Non-Surgical Facelift In a Nutshell

What is it?

Also known as the liquid facelift, this treatment combines a number of prescribed injectables from Botox to dermal fillers in order to address skin concerns that have come about due to the natural aging process. This treatment will give the face a rejuvenated and more balanced appearance.

Who is it for?

Anyone looking to:

  • improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • hydrate and brighten the skin
  • address lost volume in the face
  • improve on facial contours
  • revitalize and rejuvenate the skin on the face

How It Works

The non-surgical facelift or liquid facelift is a combination of prescribed injectables treatments, like Botox and filler, that are geared to rejuvenating your look and targeting those areas most affected by the aging process. The end result is a refreshed, well-balanced, natural, and youthful appearance. After this procedure, you won’t look like you’ve “had work done.” Instead, your friends and family will ask “hey, you look great, what’s different!?”

The non-surgical facelift can also be performed as a combination treatment of a thread lift and injectables or depending on your needs and goals, your MD provider might also recommend PRP/PRF.

The Procedure

Non-surgical facelift combines Botox and filler injections, so, like any skin injectable, they are administered via the use of very fine needles and in most cases contain lidocaine (a built-in anesthetic) so that you feel comfortable throughout the entire procedure.

Depending on your specific needs and your aesthetic goals a customized variety of injectable products are used in order smooth out the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, to brighten your skin, and to add volume and contour to the areas where that has been lost.

Is Non-Surgical Facelift for you?

We recommend that you book a complimentary in person consultation with one of our expert injectors in order to assess whether the non-surgical facelift treatment is right for you. Generally, if fine lines, wrinkles, and volume loss are your concerns, but the texture and tone of your skin are still in tip top shape, you’re well suited to this treatment. If you have concerns with quality of your skin, we might recommend Eterna Face, instead.

Is this right for you? Your MD provider will assess your skin and prescribe a customized plan specific to your particular needs and goals.

During your consultation you will need to be prepared to give your provider your full medical history (surgical procedures, chronic conditions, allergies etc.), which should include a list of any medications you are currently taking both prescription and over-the-counter, including any vitamins or supplements.

Some medications such as blood thinners can make you more prone to bruising. We often ask that you discontinue use of advil/ibuprofen for a week before your treatment, to minimize bruising.

When can I expect to see results?

You’ll notice a difference immediately following your liquid facelift and your result will continue to improve over the following two weeks afterwards.

How long will results last?

The non-surgical facelift is not a permanent solution (ah, the signs of aging can only be softened, not permanently deferred!). You will require to upkeep your Botox every 3-4 months. The results of your facial filler will last 6 months to 2 years, depending on where you’ve received filler. For example around the mouth it will wear off closer to 6 months, but filler in the cheeks often lasts between 12 and 24 months.

More Testimonials

I have always been terrified of needles so the thought of having Botox done was very stressful. After explaining my concerns the injection nurses made sure that I was comfortable and prepared for the procedure, continually checking on me and explaining what was happening throughout the experience. I have been thrilled with both the experience and the results.”
