We truly cannot get over this before and after of our beautiful patient, which is why we wanted to share it with you this month. It’s just one of those before and after photos where the picture speaks for itself.

Our lovely patient came in concerned with lax skin and unwanted volume below her chin, otherwise known as submental fat, and she was looking for more definition in her jaw line. We just can’t get over this resulting contour and the improvement to the definition around her jawline.

So what was the magic treatment?

A Non-Surgical Neck Lift with FaceTite by InMode

We are kind of in love with this treatment at the moment—it might even be our favourite (but don’t tell the others 🤫). FaceTite uses subdermal radiofrequency technology in order address loose and sagging skin. Basically what it does is shrink tissue and melt fat in a minimally invasive way.

The treatment can be applied anywhere on the face or neck where there is skin laxity, including in even the most sensitive areas like around the eyes, but also in areas like the jowls and/or the nasolabial folds. We use AccuTite when treating smaller and finer areas of the face like around the eyes. We also offer BodyTite, which is the same concept, but it can be used almost anywhere on the body, like the arms, thighs, abdomen, back—you name it.

This patient had a FaceTite treatment targeting her submental fat and jawline. Here, she is pictured one month post treatment, but the best results will be visible at 6 weeks and will only continue to improve over the course of 12 months. With FaceTite, typically only one treatment is required and the results are known to last anywhere from 1-5 years. With only one treatment we can achieve up to a 70% reduction in tissue, and these results can be even further improved when combined with a series of Morpheus8 treatments, which combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy.

FaceTite is considered to be a minimally invasive treatment. The target area is numbed with a local anesthetic and in some cases mild sedation can be used as well. This treatment achieves a mini facelift like result without the associated downtime. FaceTite does however require a bit of downtime (count about 4-5 days) but nothing compared with surgery. There could be some swelling (for about a week) and bruising (can last for up to two weeks). And you need to avoid strenuous exercise for about a week.

Our patient recovered beautifully. She developed a temporary small red lump at her incision site. Dr. Chbat, who administered her FaceTite treatment, massaged it out and it went away.

The thing with submental fat is that it’s actually super hard to treat non-surgically. It can be very resistant to other treatments like CoolSculpting and Belkyra, the two other most popular non-surgical treatments for addressing submental fullness. That’s not to say we haven’t had results with these treatments, we have, but we have to be much pickier with our candidates for them. They simply don’t work that well on everyone. FaceTite is different in this respect, and much less discriminatory when it comes to delivering fantastic results.

This is in part because with the delivery of radiofrequency heat in a really targeted way, not only does the treatment shrink tissue and melt fat, it also targets the skin right where the skin is composed primarily of collagen, which is not so easily accessed with other non-surgical treatments. This allows the treatment to tighten the collagen fibres that already exist, while stimulating the body into producing more and regenerating the connective tissues in the area.

Aaah, science can be truly amazing, can’t it? And our beautiful patient is a perfect example of what kinds of results can be achieved with just one non-surgical FaceTite treatment.
