As many of you probably already know, at MD Beauty Clinic we dove into 2021 full force, launching a whole series of new treatments. And what we love probably more than anything is seeing the amazing transformations that our treatments can yield in the experienced hands of our providers and for the right patient. We just love making our patients happy—not to mention sending them home looking absolutely fabulous. So we wanted to celebrate our patients and providers by featuring a beautiful before and after photo every month.

We are absolutely amazed by this before and after photo of our beautiful patient. One of the new treatments that we introduced this year was the thread lift, and we just can’t get enough of what amazing results we’re getting with this treatment. Patients are absolutely loving it, and so are we.

This patient had a thread lift and filler in the temples. A thread lift is a minimally invasive treatment where threads are inserted just under the surface of the skin in order to lift and tighten the skin in the area. These threads dissolve after about 6-9 months, but because they stimulate the production of collagen and elastin in your body, your thread lift results can last for up to a year if not a little longer.

What we love about the thread lift is that it’s super versatile and can do so many things from lifting sagging skin to beautifully shaping the brows and eyes, or adding definition and contour to the jawline.

Our patient’s thread lift was performed by Dr. Chbat. In Dr. Chbat’s expert hands, you can see how there was an immediate improvement in the volume of our patient’s cheeks as well as the natural lift in the jowl and jawline. Prior to the treatment our patient was also concerned about the lack of volume and hollowness around her temples, which did become more pronounced following the thread lift primarily because of the contrast in the improvement of the fullness of her lower face. This is why Dr. Chbat also added one syringe of Radiesse in her temples, adding that volume in the temples in order to create a more balanced look overall.

Although not all patients require it, the combination of the thread lift and filler can yield some beautiful results. The thread lift will lift the skin, but it’s not meant to add volume. Filler, on the other hand, adds volume to the skin, and in this patient’s case also softened the skin around the temple and improved the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well.

Sometimes patients are concerned that one treatment can lead to another. But it’s important to keep in mind that good non-surgical rejuvenation will address the face holistically. Although not featured in this particular after photo, to complete her treatment and her look, this patient is also scheduled to receive skin boosters in the lower face and neck, and a syringe of filler in the lips.

This picture was taken shortly after the patient’s treatment. A great thing about the thread lift combined with filler treatment is that it requires absolutely no downtime. For some patients some minimal bruising or swelling can occur, but they were not a factor for this particular patient. She later told us that she did avoid the steak her husband cooked her for dinner that evening, because chewing following a thread lift can be a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise, she took Tylenol to manage any discomfort and made sure not to sleep on or put any pressure on her face and that was it!

Her results will continue to improve with time as her body’s natural healing response kicks in and jumpstarts new collagen production, between one and two months after the treatment is performed.

Before and after photos are a great way to get an idea of what a treatment can do for you, but everyone is different, so your results are never going to look exactly like someone else’s. But if you’re interested in chatting with us about what these treatments might do for you, don’t hesitate to get in touch!
